Synopsis/Details
Three protagonists spin into a chaotic love-triangle around a hidden element in its centre: a painting by a forgotten female artist. As long as a secret from the past continues to cloud the origin of painting, none of the protagonists can become happy and fulfilled, try as they may. They need this particular expression to fully grow into their own skin.
LISBET (66), a charismatic visual artist who has been working most of her life as a reclusive painter. Left society as she suffered from manic depression. She destains money and the art markets bullshit. SUSAN (27), is a nervous young woman who loves art. She wants to make it in the art world as a dealer and taste maker. Has a red birthmark she’s self conscious about.

BRAD (28), a gaming nerd who is colorblind, oblivious to art, and who loves Susan. And her blotch. He secretly makes a living hosting porn sites to support his mother financially. At the end, the painting is finally credited truthfully and sold at an art auction. All the players in Lisbets life who never spoke up on her behalf and meanwhile made good careers in the art world, finally face their betrayal and make amends. With joined forces, they raise the price for her painting into an unprecedented level. The glass ceiling on value attributed to a female artist is shattered. And of course several lovers ride off into the sun-set.

The Writer: Paula Redlefsen

My passion for film first drove me to study acting at HB Studios in NYC for three years. Later in Berlin, I mainly played in English language productions, both on stage and for film. I also worked on film sets of national TV movie productions and international cinema productions in different positions, such as dialogue coach, casting director and assistant director. Meanwhile I started making my own short films, practicing the basics of film making from script development to editing. I finally realized that the core of an idea is really shaped and expressed in the script. In 2008 I took a year long screenwriting program at Ars Nova, followed by script development at Masterschool Drehbuch,… Go to bio
