Synopsis/Details
In San Francisco, two shattered souls orbit each other’s lives without colliding: Mike, a detective drowning in grief after his wife’s death, and Ani’is, a spirited woman rebuilding herself after a humiliating betrayal. Their worlds briefly align during an electric dance at a Def Leppard cover band concert—only to be ripped apart by a sudden fire.
As months pass, near-misses taunt them: a crowded amusement park, a boarded-up club, a rainy pier. Mike obsessively sketches Ani’is’ face; she replays their dance in her head. But life keeps pulling them in opposite directions—his police work and her three dead-end jobs, his grief and her fear of being hurt again.
When a chance encounter finally reunites them, they’re forced to confront the magnetic pull between them. But with Mike’s impending transfer out of the city and Ani’is’ hard-won independence at stake, they must decide if love is worth disrupting the fragile new lives they’ve built—or if some connections are meant to live only in memory, set to the soundtrack of a bittersweet rock ballad.
