Synopsis/Details
A true story. When we first meet the protagonist, we only know that he teaches English overseas. When he first arrives in Egypt, every encounter is a situation comedy, or at least a ‘situation’. But just as he is adjusting, and his character changing from Keanu Reeves mild mannered Canadian to a more assertive American, the January 25 revolution occurs. We then learn he is a professor of government, and he writes the county’s new constitution. He also gets tear gassed and attacked several times. He then starts a grand museum project, during which we also see more social commentary on Egyptians and Egypt today.
