Aviraj, 28, is the second son of a single mother who sacrificed everything to chase the American dream. Raised to succeed at all costs, Aviraj has become a rising star in Chicago’s cutthroat financial world. Wealthy, sharp, and emotionally numb, he wears success like armor — shielding himself from vulnerability, introspection, and identity. For Aviraj, control is survival.
On the eve of his extravagant wedding, a bombshell shatters his illusion of control: his older brother, Navi, and best friend, Danny, reveal that his fiancée, Anita, has been unfaithful. Humiliated and broken, Aviraj silently disappears, boarding the honeymoon flight alone — not out of impulse, but necessity. What follows is a spiral of substance-fuelled self-destruction as Aviraj flees from his polished persona and collides with the rawness of who he might really be.
Not satisfied, Aviraj detours from his short lived honeymoon to India — his ancestral homeland — he’s pulled into a world that challenges everything he’s known. Here, amidst family secrets and buried grief, including questions surrounding the mysterious death of his father, Aviraj begins to uncover the truth of his past — and the family legacy he’s never fully understood. Meanwhile, his loved ones are left to pick up the pieces, triggering their own reckonings.
Pilot Episode:
The series opens with an opulent pre-wedding celebration — all glamour and curated perfection. But beneath the surface, fault lines are cracking. Danny drinks heavily, visibly unravelling as he struggles to deal with the secret he is holding. Navi senses something is wrong and confronts him, leading to a shocking confession: Anita’s betrayal. Together, they seek out the man in question and force a confrontation that ends violently — and is recorded by Navi.
The video is sent to Anita, as Navi and Danny return to the party, who then tell Aviraj. Avraj and Anita share an emotionally raw exchange that becomes a catalyst for the journey ahead — one that will fracture and reshape every relationship in its wake.
Navi finds a way to cut the party short forcing all the guests to leave, Aviraj uses this time to make his own exit and vanish from the family home. Navi tries to regroup with the rest of the family, with his mum’s focus on saving face in the community and with his wife who have their own issues.
