The Dutch went to the New World a long time ago. What if Americans came back to the Dutch unholy ground now, but were confronted with dark Myths in the woods? American cultural historians from New York go back to the origins of the Dutch founders of their city, and there – in the Dutch forests – they are confronted with mythical creatures who, by moonlight, take away the imaginations of people, with sacrificial rituals. There is a professor, a male (macho) student and a female student. One of them will survive and the living person knows where inspiration for fiction is stored - and it's not a great place.
