New York has changed, the people did not. Manhattanians live in their old city, but in new environments. Young Don is working for a sort of governmental group. All the peaceful routine of the city is interrupted by unexpected visit of outsiders, the Nomads, Nomads in new post modern garb with old habits. This sets up the sequence of violent and unseen events, which brings up a war, and Don as a new king of the Manhattan.
