Synopsis/Details
A loudmouth Killjoy is at the movies, watching a schlocky 80s slasher called Sticky Wicked. He ruins it for everyone around him by talking at the screen, texting, and just generally being the worst. Unfortunately for him, one member of the audience is a real-life Psycho killer, who brutally kidnaps Killjoy on the way to his car. When Killjoy regains consciousness, he finds himself in a dark basement locked in full-body shackles. Worse still, he's forced to watch a ridiculous puppet show put on by the Psycho who brought him here. Before long, Killjoy is heckling the puppets, which play out a moralistic conflict between an evil witch and an avenging angel. Once the show is done, Killjoy is told he can leave if he passes a series of terrible trials, which turn out to be (mostly) Halloween party games. Killjoy gets the keys to his shackles easily enough, but he frustrates Psycho by not taking it at all seriously. Instead of letting him go, Psycho asks him a horror movie trivia question, which starts an argument. Psycho taunts Killjoy with his smashed cellphone, sending the captive man into a rage. He throws a fit, smashing whatever he can get his hands on and viciously insulting Psycho, who finally snaps and physically attacks Killjoy. Despite deciding to play along and answer the trivia question at the last second, Killjoy is strangled to death. Finally, Psycho chastises himself and gets to work cleaning up the mess.

The Writer: Diana Nock

As a cartoonist by trade, I'm a very visual storyteller, and I'm excited about the opportunity to explore my passion in TV and film. In my comics work, I'm used to doing everything myself: the writing, the directing, the set design, the acting, EVERYTHING. With film, I look forward to being able to communicate my vision to others so that we can collaborate to make truly wondrous experiences. I'm in this for the pure joy of storytelling. I've explored many genres in my comics, including sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural, comedy, drama, slice of life, and instructional works. As a screenwriter, I'm most fascinated by speculative fiction: ghost stories, mythic horror, weird fantasy, dystopia,… Go to bio
