Off By One

Owen Nickerson is a troubled young game designer whose company nearly went bankrupt when a hacker leaked his last game. To stay in business, Owen cut a deal with the U.S. Military, allowing them to use his game engine for a classified project. Soon after, things soon start going wrong. When Owen carries his latest game to Helsinki for manufacturing, he discovers that it has already been stolen. Teaming up with the beautiful and intrepid Finnish journalist, Astrid Hahl, Owen seeks answers. He soon finds himself at the top of the world, trapped by a ruthless oligarch and his gang of smugglers. There, Owen discovers a mistake that may cost hundreds of thousands of people their lives. To save them, Owen and Astrid must face down criminals, assassins, and soldiers. Somehow...that's the least of their worries.
