Synopsis/Details
A decision by the church committee to suspend choreography for six months leaves Dave with the choice of joining the Breath Takers – a dance crew vying to rise to stardom. Partnering with Ruth seems to be the perfect match for the crew but other dancers will need to step up and create that winning mentality.
Unsure about the talent and fighting spirit of the Dance crew, Harry pulls the plug when he gives his take on the fate of the Dancers routine, leaving Dave with the thought of going back to gospel dance, however this doesn’t get a headway because he is seen as a street dancer who shouldn’t be in a gospel talent hunt. A day away from rehearsal is all it takes to split a long time relationship between Dave and Ruth. Having lost her job, Ruth needs to get a new job and focus on dance and not friendship.
Knowing the importance of the competition and a need for fresh idea; Harry invites Sally – an old crew member and a renowned choreographer to help the dancers in their routine. This creates a new atmosphere for the dancers and a new base for Dave and Ruth to showcase the best in them. With the competition drawing near and an invitation made to the church, the suspension on choreography is lifted and the need for Dave to return becomes necessary. This is a task which is perceived to be within the reach of Ruth.
The much awaited competition is on with top dance crews present; leaving the Breath Takers with little chance of success. The encouraging words of Sally could be the breakpoint for the Breath Takers dance crew.
