One Page Synopsis: Orphan Core Concept: Everybody has a past that affects their future, but not everybody can be saved. Major Plot Points: • The Kidnapping of our female Protagonist • Male Protagonists Orphanage Memories/Family revelations (Jane) • Finding the Journal • 2nd girl left behind – threats to Hunter • Hunter’s Kidnapping • Caught by police as a result of Hunter • Prison sentence • Wedding in Prison • Role Reversal of Leadership within the Prison, character Arcs • Baby dramas Main Character Arcs: Male Protagonist – Starts as a vicious criminal, gets caught sent to Prison and becomes a shell of a man. (Positive Change Arc) Female Protagonist – Goes from soft, delicate victim to leader of the gang and gets them through Prison. (Negative Change Arc) Member #1 (Brother) – Grew up together from Orphanage, saved Leader from bullying, starts off cold and unfeeling then becomes more of a hero archetype. (Hero Arc) Member #2 (BF of Second Woman) – Once loved his girlfriend, now uses her. Their relationship constantly digresses. He kidnaps Hunter (Negative Change Arc) Member #3 – Doesn’t like Female Protagonist, tries to seduce her which gets revealed and thus leads to problems with leader. (Villainous Arc) Member #4 – Protects her from danger. He is the only constant, he is the only one who has empathy for the girls, he often protects them. (Flat Arc) Girlfriend – She was stronger, more dominant then becomes worn down, has a miscarriage. (Downhill)
