Synopsis/Details
Detective Vincent Peretti used to be the pride of Phoenix Homicide until his bitter divorce sidelined his career. Now he struggles just not to get fired as he wallows in his misery. He six year old daughter Sophie misses him more every day and his ex wife Stephanie is running out of excuses as to why he’s never around. But Peretti loves his little girl, even if he doesn’t show it nearly enough. As if things weren’t bad enough, Peretti has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. After a fellow detective and his entire family are violently murdered, Peretti is put on the case by his hard nosed captain. Along with the cop’s killing there are also eight missing young girls in the city and one of them has already turned up; dead and butchered. With the help of the county sheriff and two FBI agents Peretti has five bodies on his desk and more on the way. When the captain assigns Detective Mark Romano to help Vincent, tempers flare as the polar opposites struggle to work together. As the group close in on the psychotic killers Richard Speller and Niklas Triggins, Peretti realizes this isn’t just another case. He’s not just solving a group of murders but by doing so he’s preventing his own death. The charming and affluent Richard Speller and his monstrous sidekick Triggins consider Peretti a bigger threat than they care to deal with and decide to take the only thing Peretti truly cares about; his daughter Sophie. Peretti sets out to find his daughter and bring down the disturbed and murdering kidnappers and discovers the spark that had been missing in his career. It’s a race against time as Peretti must catch the killers, find the missing girls and rescue his daughter before his disease takes him out for good.
