“PHASE I” begins with the abduction of a young woman, Tracy Stevens, who is the most recent victim in a series of kidnappings. Her abandoned car is found on the side of the road. A glowing-skull prop left on the hood – The abductor’s calling card.
Tracy eventually manages to escape from her assailant but is rendered mute, a result of post traumatic stress disorder. Police then call upon Dr. Angela Preston, a psychologist specializing in trauma therapy, in hopes that her expertise can be used to speed-up Tracy’s recovery. Other victims may still be alive and time is running out.
Later, it is revealed that Dr. Preston has a few fears of her own to deal with. A former patient is stalking her. She lives with the frightening reality of someone always following her every move.
Eventually, Tracy speaks and tells the tale of her escape – An escape from the clutches of a hideous-looking man who can only be described of as “the monster.” His victims, trapped inside the dark confines of a crawlspace.
Complications ensue when Angela’s stalker is arrested having confessed to the kidnappings. But, is Angela’s stalker the real perpetrator or is there truly a monster out there?
