Synopsis/Details
Mary Anne was only sixteen when her life took a turn for the worse. A religious, modest girl from suburbia... Two loving parents who raised her in a beautiful Victorian House at the end of street. One random night when Mary Anne was walking home from the library when she crossed paths with the devil. Figuratively speaking... Literally, her assailant donned a demonic masquerade mask which he abducted her in. Fifty years later, her life has never been the same. Full of anxiety, depression, anger, nightmares, loneliness, substance abuse, avoidance, and despair... Years of untreated mental illness. Her PTSD transferred into agoraphobia where she hardly leaves the home she inherited. Mary's relationship with her daughter is rocky to say the least. Her daily routine consist of eating a microwavable meal, smoking cigarettes, watching religious sermons on the TV, eating junk food, and praying. Day after day, after day...after day... Until weird things start happening around her house... Are they figments of her imagination? Coincidence? Or are there evil forces actively set out to condemn her to an eternity in Hell. The whole neighborhood thinks she's crazy. They even made a nursery rhyme about her. "Beware the old crone who lives alone..." Her daughter tries to get her into treatment, but Mary Anne refuses. She is determined to prove that she is sane and will bring an end to the demonic entities who terrorize her.
