Synopsis/Details
Having lost the last of his father’s investment capital in a Silicon Valley startup, Jeremy, an entitled Millennial, flees California to his Boomer parent’s Arizona retirement community: Sunset Winds, where he discovers Mom and Dad are experimenting with a “trial separation” which is really just code for a poly lifestyle.
Sunset Winds is bonkers for Pickleball (the fastest growing sport in America!) and vote to host a regional tournament with a big cash prize. Despite having no Pickleball experience, Jeremy enters the tournament determined to get the money he needs to invest in another startup (this one’s a unicorn!) and to impress Kaitlyn, the awesome lawyer he meets through the fuck app. It also wouldn’t hurt to finally get the better of his father by unseating him as Picklechampion.
Through the coaching of hippie guru Bryan, a Boomer who never went capitalist during the 80s, Jeremy claws his way into the Picklefinals against dear Dad, only to have the neglected Sunset Winds septic tank overflow and send the tournament into an actual shit storm. Now literally up to his ankles in it, will Jeremy finally grow up and accept a job he considers beneath him?
