Hugo Thirst and his wife Diana spend a night at home during a night of passion and alcohol, until Dodi the pet dog gets under her feet, causing her to suffer a ghastly fatal accident. When the suspecting detective shows up to question Hugo, he's not sure that he is telling the truth concerning his wife's death and charges him with her murder.
