Archaeology professor BRIAN SANDERS is excited about going to an excavation project at the rock tombs in Antalya-Turkey after his brain tumor recedes due to to chemotherapy. His hallucinations have also decreased due to the receding tumor. The excavation is being conducted under the supervision of LARA, who is the director of Antalya Archaeology Museum and also Brian’s ex-girl friend from college. Brian takes his wife SANDRA, an incapacitated ALS patient who is also speechless, while VICTORIA, Brian's sister in Turkey, convices MELISSA, Brian's daughter, to also come so that she can pursue her dancing passion and at the same time earn money for college by arranging an audition with a reknown dance group. At the excavation site, Brian finds a mysterious metal disc. He also learns that his tumor is growing again. When he goes for another scan, to everybody's surprise , his tumor is completely gone. Brian starts investigating the disc but can’t dicipher the symbols on it. He also begin to see hallucinations of strange beings asking him to pay. Initially, he dismisses them as hallucinations caused by the tumor. Melissa meets MERT, a young Turkish university student. They fall in love and start dating. Shortly after, Brian’s father, who is in a nursing home in Chicago dies a mysterious death. This is followed by Sandra’s death a few days later as she falls down from the 9th floor of their balcony. Brian is considered the prime suspect and is taken into custody. As Brian senses that the disk may be responsible for these deaths, he reveals it to Lara, and asks for her assistance. Lara agrees, and as she diciphers the symbols on the disk, she learns that it cures the ill but at a cost. That night, Victoria is mysteriously killed while when she’s home alone as ALTAY, her husband, is on a business trip. When Lara tells Brian what she found, he desperatly wants to save Victoria and Melissa. Without knowing about Victoria’s death, Brian asks Lara to help him escape from prison. Lara helps Brian. Brian calls Melissa and tell's her to come to Victoria’s house. As they arrive Victoria’s home, Brian sees Altay and learns about Victoria’s death. Melissa and Mert also arrive there. Brian and Lara tell the others about the disc. The police, DA, and a lawyer also arrive a little later. A mysterious mist appears and engulfs the bodies of everybody in the house, except Brian and Melissa. It begins to slowly kill Melissa by raising her in the air and bending her body. An ghostly face, which Brian had seen before, reappears and asks him to pay. Brian initially tries to pay with material objects, but then realizes that he must pay by sacrificing a limb. He cuts his finger but the ghost wants compensation in full. Brian then chops off his right arm. The ghost and the mist dissipate and things revert to normal. All criminal charges against Brian are dropped and the excavation site is sealed. A year later, a senator and presidential candidate with Brian’s right arm, is endorsed during a fund raising gala by the influential Wallstreet Bankers Association.
