Synopsis/Details
Focusing on the point of view of the Rowan and Kip (the Merry and Pippin characters), while high as a kite on the train tracks, they get the munchies and attempt to steal some of old man Milo's crops, where they bump into their old smoking buddies and Rowan's cousin, Griffin and Silas, who have a secret mission to which Rowan and Kip get drug into. They evade a mysterious black car and get Griffin and Silas to the Highland Tap to meet "Grandpa Alf," who always has that good shit on him. Only, Alf doesn't show up, and they four young friends must decide if they can trust a stranger, Aaron, who claims to know Alf, after hooded figures they all thought was a drug-induced halucination turn out to be real. Aaron reconnects them with Alf and all together go to Earl's pawn shop, where Rowan and Kip finally learn that Griffin was not only left his uncle's house and wealth, but also a cursed ring, made years ago by a southern slave master who on the peak of Stone Mountain poured his cruelty, mallice and will to dominate other life into it. In order to save themselves, their friends, and the souls trapped inside this ring of evil, they must fight their way through the shadow monsters that grow ever closer, and make it to stone mountain to destroy the ring, for only there by the lighting that binded it together, can it be unmade. In their leaving, Alf must sacrifice his beat up minivan and himself to the shadow monster, so the four and Aaron may escape on bycicles and ride to stone mountain. But the five realize they need to stop and learn more, so they stop of at Georgia Perimiter College along the way to meet up with Aaron's cousin, Harmony, and her friend, Tia, who are history majors. The group splits up again, as the mountain of shadow encroaches on them. Aaron and Rowan get the monster's attention as Harmony drives Kip and Silas to the light show at the base of Stone Mountain park where they prepare an ambush for the shadow monster, and Griffin and Tia go together to destroy the ring at the summit of Stone Mountain. Silas gets an uneasy feeling leaving his best friend and plutonic lover alone, and rushes to Griffin's side to find Tia has betrayed Griffin, driven selfish and mad by it's evil. Meanwhile, Aaron, Rowan, Kip, and Harmony are fighting a losing battle down below when a bright light seems to save them in their time of need. Through the light comes Alf, as he should have beed. Basked in lamps and lights, new Alf helps them in their last effort as Silas is able to help Griffin just enough to have lightning strike the ring at the peak of the mountain, destroying it. The group wakes up in Indian Springs, where Harmony has her appartment. They are all recouperating when Rowan realizes, "Fuck... I gotta go to work." So, goodbyes are said and the man four take the MARTA blue line west. Griffin and Silas hug Rowan and Kip and exit around the Avondale station and we are left with our original two. They sit in silence and overhear the normal things one does on MARTA. Someone plays a video way too loud without headphones - this one is a news report about a storm that destroyed the Stone Mountain park as well as the Confederate monument on the side, and a random dude shouts and says crazy nonsense. He makes eye contact with Kip, attempts to hold them up with a sauced, spare rib, and life in Atlanta continues as normal.

The Writer: Nick Blocha

With intention, you can create something timeless. Art is the Process of living, so give time to the process. I like wood, earth tones, ink, and natural elements that keep us connected with the seasons. My passion is observance of moments, things that will become memories; observance of not just what we do, but how, in order to figure out why. We are here to experience life. I intend to. Go to bio
