Synopsis/Details
The world is dominated by invisible demons that are stuck in people's heads. Once they have settled there, there is little chance of escape. They prey on unmindful people. The world is too self-involved to notice them.
The Mother Goddess Almighty can no-longer bear the miserable situation on earth and decides to act. She appoints a demi-goddess living on earth, who has no idea, who she really is and where she comes from. How shall a creature like her, living in a run-down trailer on a garbage dump, alcoholic with obesity and flatulence, save the universe? That’s why she needs the help from Archangel Gabriel and the crazy psychoanalyst Dr. Michael Mayr, who was once himself Archangel, but who had chosen to live on Earth for research purposes. The two rivals should help Lätti finally understand, that she has been chosen by the highest Goddess herself as the saviour of the world.
At first she resists, but the more she changes mentally and physically, through sober-up and the daily exercise and nutrition program with Gabriel, the more she regains her original being and strength. Lätti and Gabriel argue a lot and make no secret of the fact that they can't stand each other, but their conflict brings them closer together.
There are many obstacles, doubts and bad memories that stand in her way. She needs a lot of support from Gabriel but he is learning all of this himself.
The training is successful and the fight against the demons can begin. When the fight gets tough, Lätti is aware, that she won’t win without the mind of a man. It seems to be obvious, that only Gabriel can help, but Lätti chooses her grumpy, garbage dump neighbour, Igor, because this man is a crook. It takes a crook to fight a crook. Although this man is not well-educated and has no idea about fighting against demons, he agrees to help. He is sly. This should help in the fight against the demons, because the trick is to chase out the demons of the humans. And because demons return and hide in human brains as soon they see Archangel Gabriel, he is for no use in this battle. Because Lätti doesn’t want to kill the humans, but only the demons.
Anyway Gabriel is offended that his ideas are not good enough for Lätti, however Igor finds this funny and has finally a reason to mock Gabriel.
At the end, the good wins against the evil and Gabriel falls in love with Lätti and so does her neighbour Igor. Lätti must choose, and she decides upon Gabriel. Even though he never wanted to be a human, falling in love is a big thing for him. He proposes to Lätti. Neither he, nor Lätti anticipated the Goddess Mother’s, who takes all their strength, powers and even the remembrance of it away. After all, they no longer need it.
Now, the two are a couple like any other.
Lätti again gorging and farting, as before and Gabriel rather nerdy and know-it-all with a fast-expanding waistline.
At the end of the film, Igor is seen with a mini jealousy demon in his head, stalking the two lovebirds and trying to destroy their happiness. Lätti and Gabriel argue a lot about trivialities, so that her colleague advises her to go to couples counselling sessions as soon as possible.
Therefore Lätti and Gabriel choose the psychotherapy practice of Dr. Michael Mayr. When they are standing in front of his door and Dr. Mayr recognizes them, he SLAMS THE DOOR!
