Synopsis/Details
It is a time of extended lockdowns and growing unrest. Randall Parfitt, the cynical acid-tongued owner of an eclectic inner city Melbourne second-hand shop called 'Quriosity' finds himself mistaken for the mysterious conspiracy cult leader Q, when his friend and business partner Dennis Rossi starts dabbling in the murky world of Qanon. Randall finds himself increasingly harassed by business rival and resident loony Joan Pond the Witch, who runs a new age shop called 'The White House'. Joan and an assorted gang of white witches, psychic mediums and conspiracy theorists are convinced they are living on a Hellmouth operated by the evil child eating Deep State cabal. "Small Mediums At Large" is an 8-episode TV sitcom.

The Writer: Len Varley

Currently living in exile on the Isle of Wight in a beach side town which has played host to several notable historic figures, including Karl Marx, Lewis Carroll and Charles Darwin. So far, my contribution to this proud pedigree has been a fine for a late book return by the library which Karl Marx was known to frequent. My screenwriting work includes feature length movies and TV sitcoms; typically interweaving deeper social issues into a comedy romp. My stage play 'Dark Chocolate' - a theater of the absurd piece - was recently picked up by Manchester Performing Arts Society. I am also an unashamed nerd. If called upon to de-fuse an unexploded bomb, I would definitely cut the blue wire.… Go to bio
