After accepting a friend request from a handsome stranger on social media, REBEKAH FROST unknowingly invites the infamous serial killer - THE SOCIAL MEDIA KILLER aka ‘SMK’, into her life… Living her life through the lens of social media, cyber stalker SMK – a social media predator hidden behind a fake profile, soon learns Rebekah’s patterns and routines and begins to track her every move. And on a cold autumn night, just after the clock strikes midnight, SMK arrives at her home to wreak murderous havoc… Rebekah wakes with a foreboding fright to find the dark silhouette of SMK stood at the foot of her bed. SMK brutally murders Rebekah’s husband, MICHAEL, before turning his attention to her. Rebekah puts up a fight and manages to flee the house within an inch of her life. Unaware two Police officers have arrived at the front door, Rebekah jumps the back fence into the dark woodland beyond, and runs for her life with SMK now deadly in hot pursuit… Now into the dead of night with most people safely tucked away in bed, Rebekah encounters some of London’s dark and seedy characters as she attempts to escape the pursuing SMK. Being the only selected victim to have gotten away, SMK ruthlessly pursues Rebekah at every turn, determined to finish what he started. He violently kills anyone who crosses his path, using their phone to take a photo and upload the gruesome picture to their social media for all their friends and family to see, tagging it #SMK – getting his instant gratification. The #SMK gets the attention of ALEX CHASE; a vigilante on a crusade for retribution following the murder of his sister five months earlier. Armed with a bullet proof vest and gun obtained from the dark web, Alex heads out without saying goodbye to his heavily pregnant girlfriend, and begins to follow the trail of the dead bodies leading him to SMK… Rebekah finds sanctuary in a seedy night club. But with the smarmy club owner refusing to call the Police claiming it will be bad for business, SMK arrives and Rebekah finds herself face to face with him once more. As SMK is about to finally finish her off, Alex arrives and opens fire. SMK gets out of the way unscathed and badly injuries Alex, who is in turn saved by Rebekah and they both get away - fleeing in Alex’s car. Their getaway is short lived when the car breaks down having suffered damage from bullets fired by SMK outside the club. They find refuge in a nearby derelict building where Alex, consumed with revenge, fake calls 999 and notifies SMK using #SMK of their whereabouts, hatching his final plan for retribution, resulting in a dark, brutal finale…
