Synopsis/Details
Paige begins her the day the same as any other, rolling out of her tent and into a sunny plot of isolated woods. She boils water for coffee and instant mac n cheese when she's approached by a new client, Zander. Rather than ask for a fortune telling though, Zander's request demands darker, riskier magic. Paige declines since she's never successfully cast a resurrection spell. Zander admits to the mistake that killed his beloved pet. Paige feels for Zander and they head into the woods to find her ritual stump.
The two blow bubbles made of Paige's cloudy weather potion as they trot deeper into the woods. Later, the sun shines down on a lost Paige and Zander's trust in her power wains. Paige fails to find the stump as the sky continues to stay clear. Right as the spell's window of time nears its end, Paige attempts the resurrection on the forest floor. Her incantation commands clouds to form above. Suddenly, lightning strikes the ground between them.
The two crowd over and observe the corpse, frowning. The spider is still dead. Paige is ecstatic however, and confident that she can pull it off next time. She just needs to find her ritual stump. Zander, a bit stolid, agrees to reschedule for next week.
