Synopsis/Details
Brian Carter has just been hired by Miskatonic University to teach archaeology. He is unfamiliar with the school and the small Massachusetts town of Arkham that surrounds it. Within the first few moments of his first class he learns that Miskatonic has a well-earned nickname Spooky U.
Dean Pickman calls Brian to his office and explains that, along with teaching responsibilities, he is expected to do investigation in and around the region for abnormalities. The first such abnormality is a mysterious disturbance at a nearby farm. A meteor that hit the farm over a hundred years ago has left trace residue of what Pickman simply refers to as "the color."
Brian soon learns that there is a vast conspiracy of secret societies, shadow creatures, and even the townsfolk themselves. He forms an alliance with a small group of students who set out to help him navigate the cosmic terrors that plague Miskatonic University.
