Synopsis/Details
Upon the arrival of his first child, Dade Jennings put his entertainment aspirations on hold to support his wife's career and get the home set up for his new family. Twelve years later, we find Dade trapped inside of the monotony of his daily routine. A missed flight serves as the catalyst that thrusts him back into his career. Not only will he have to learn to focus on himself again. The family will all have to learn to put out their own fires. His wife, Meredith, serves as the shows moral compass. She accepts Dade wholly and supports him emphatically. His twelve-year-old daughter, China, is a student gymnast with a penchant for spending extreme amounts of money and receiving outrageous gifts. Dylan Jennings is the five-year-old terror who would make even Dennis the Menace go hide in a corner somewhere. Ian, the family's two-year-old, gets in where he fits in as they try to deter him from becoming Dylan #2. Dade's mother, Karen, is ridiculously cheap and slightly judgmental. Her voice represents the general public who may question Dade's "lifestyle". And his long time boyfriend, Justin, is usually the one giving Dade that firm push forward as he steps outside of his comfort zone and back into his own life. As shocking or intriguing as the show's title may be, you find out very soon that Dade's sexuality is the least important part of his life. The show resonates with anyone with a family and anyone who has revisited an old dream. The show is about human connection and finding your way. You can do anything in life with the right people at your side.

The Writer: Mario HASSELL

I am a musician at heart but I have written as long as I can write. I have learned a lot about the Film and TV side of entertainment since I moved to Atlanta. It is such an active market that I have dabbled in extra work and attended Full Sail University in the Creative Writing for Entertainment program after being intrigued by the process. My wife and three kids provide a lot of fodder for most of what I write. Regardless of what the story is, I try to create art that resonates with everyone, with human connection and relationships often at the core. I hope you enjoy my art. Go to bio
