Synopsis/Details
Everyone has a past. Some live with it and others live without it. Susan’s ties to Lake Tahoe go back to her childhood while spending time there with her father. On a trip back, fate breaks the rules. Susan, a successful business owner, comes in contact with her father who is now a stranger. This stranger reaches out with a generous offer, the use of his Tahoe lake house while maintaining his distance. Susan struggles to accept this stranger’s generous offer but at the same time is still drawn to the lake house. While spending a weekend at the lake house with a few friends the owners infamous past state to come to light. In the end, Susan’s father cannot bring himself to break the promise he had made many years ago and dies alone. What he leaves Susan is one last opportunity to connect with him.
