Synopsis/Details
Jones, Stan, and Issac are three average teenagers each with their own problem. Jones feels emasculated by his weakness and cowardice, while Stan, not having any issues in that department, is seeking freedom from his controlling parents. Finally, there is Issac, being the goofiest and most likeable of the three, is lost drifting through high school, with his dream of becoming an actor crumbling before him. These three friends are hanging out just as they always do when Issac and Stan break a custom lamp that belongs to Jone's mom. What starts as a minor inconvenience soon turns into a long drive to Ohio, which is where Jone's car gets stolen and leaves the three-stranded, needing to hitchhike back to Michigan. Along the way, they run into many odd characters including some crooked cops, a wolverine, a struggling film director and producer, a mentally unstable war veteran, the mafia, and more. The ending sees all boys finally return home just in time to see Jone's mom throw out the lamp and replace it. The entire trip seems like wasted time to the three but those they met along the way and experiences they made helped them each solve their problems.
