Synopsis/Details
Syd and The Geordie Men is the heart-warming, indie dramedy road trip story of Roy, a North East widower and former 70s tribute band lead guitarist, who while facing his own existential crisis, receives word of the the death of his bands frontman, Syd.
The emergence of a pact made back in the day, sets Roy on a quest to retrieve the ashes and bring the estranged band back together for one last show. But of course, it's not that easy.
He has three days to collect the ashes from the South Coast before a disreputable funeral director uses them as fertiliser, he doesn't know where the other members are or if they'll even talk to him and his only means of transport is his angst filled, teenage goth niece, Polly, and her less-than-reliable camper van.
All set to the soundtrack of 70s North East rock and roll band, Geordie (Brian Johnson of ACDC fame's original band), Roy must learn to let go of his crippling regret or risk being a lonely, bitter has-been for the rest of his days.
