The Writer: Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson is one of the boys who attended Sunnycrest Farm for Negro Boys from ages 12 thru 15 in the early 1960s. Michael’s sponsor, Miss Jane Stuckland, disappeared just before Michael finished his final year and graduated the three-year program. Without her financial support, Michael and two of his boys, was dismissed from the program with no explanation of what became of her. Today Michael if the founder and director of a similar non-profit program for inner city black children in Virginia called ‘Think Then Choose Wisely. ’ This program teaches children about agriculture, healthy choices in food and also encourages strong work ethics and moral values.
