Synopsis/Details
DONNA (30’s) has an erotic dream about a man that’s interrupted brutally by ASMODEUS (40’s), who kills her fantasy lover and assaults her savagely by burning her face on a kitchen range before he commits suicide. She awakens from her nightmare panic-stricken and sobbing on her bed, and the next morning she’s fired from her job for chronic tardiness.
She meets a former co-worker for lunch who invites her to a dinner party, and then returns home to encounter visitations from a huge insect, her dead father, and a revolver. At the party, she relates the Hebraic fable of Asmodeus, who’s a half human and half demon
cambion. When a guest avows his belief in God, Donna insults him and storms out.
One final attempt at normalcy ends when she meets a man in a bar, but he humilates her inadvertently, which causes her to recall her traumatic loss of virginity. As she becomes increasingly depraved and psychotic, she subjects a local cat to her deadly predilections.
Months pass, and ADAM (30’s) picks her up in a bar. After he drives her home, she invites him in, drugs him, and he awakens to find himself being held hostage in a soundproof room. When she shows him a video of her murdering a previous victim, he realizes his fate
is being foretold.
A few days later, TRICIA (30’s), Adam’s fiancée, and JERRY (30’s), his brother, meet with BOBBI (50’s), a private detective. They begin searching for Adam and the enigmatic woman with whom he was last seen. Jerry discovers Donna luring another victim, follows her
home, and tries to search her house, but her neighbor alerts the police, who arrest him. Tricia arrives to see Jerry being taken into custody, and after a futile attempt to persuade the police to release Jerry and search Donna’s house, they all depart.
Bobbi then arrives at Donna’s home, and as she surveils it, she sees Donna watching a video from one of her previous murders. She enters the house surreptitiously, and discovers Donna’s latest victim, but Donna murders her before she can rescue the victim.
Tricia returns to Donna’s house and decides to stake it out, but she dozes off. The next morning, she awakens and enters the house to investigate, but finds only the brutalized remnants of Donna’s horrific crimes in her bobby-trapped cellar. Simultaneously, our antiheroine boards an international flight with her new nom de guerre. As she begins a conversation with another potential victim, she and her homicidal muse fly off into the sunrise.
