Synopsis The Christophe Rocancourt Affair Writer’s Guild of Canada Registration Number S02-6130 “The Christophe Rocancourt Affair” is an original screenplay based upon a true life story substantiated by personal interviews, news accounts, (banned publication) police investigative reports, and Crown transcripts from actual Canadian court proceedings. The screenplay is divided into a 3 part series. 1. The Swindle 2. The Capture 3. The Canadian Defense This three part series screenplay fully reveals for the very first time the true story of what led up to the capture in Canada of the infamous Christophe Rocancourt after fleeing U.S. authorities, who had dubbed him in the media as the “Counterfeit Rockefeller”. The story shows how he infiltrated the higher classes of Canadian society utilizing simplistic deceit of being wealthy himself and offering huge financial returns where he feeds on many gullible people who have foolish thoughts of grandeur and fast cash interwoven with his blatant manipulations of these people’s vulnerability to take their money. His obvious manipulations go unchallenged by his victims who became so blinded by their greed to his observable misrepresentations. And, during his swindles, he maintained the “high life” of high priced liquors, call girls, and drugs, while keeping his nearby, his son and a former Playboy bunny, Pia Reyes, who was also his common law wife. This screenplay also depicts the government formula for prosecution of Mr. Rocancourt and how his lawyer Mayland McKimm overcame insurmountable obstacles of government prejudice and governmental witness deceit to secure a more than fair international deal for his client, Christophe Rocancourt. The lawyer’s décor and expertise at confronting those conflicting issues that the Crown was holding Christophe Rocancourt on, in order to assure their American counter-parts extradition to the United States was astonishing performance of representation.
