The Extraction List

America is in a state of total economic collapse. While parents are doing anything and everything to survive, children are left to fend for themselves, many ending up being raised by gangs and introduced to a life of crime and violence. To combat this epidemic, CLAIRE CRANE, a charismatic mother whose son was killed by a young gang member creates the Parental Morality Law, a set of criteria written by the government that regulates parenting. If a parent does not abide by it, their child is put on the Extraction List. The Task Force, the police-like entity responsible for enforcing the Parental Morality Law, removes the child from the home and places him or her in a boarding school where it is believed they will be cared for properly. Though well-intended, it morphs into a witch hunt, bankrupting an already poor America. If your child is put on the Extraction List, only one young man can provide hope: CAIN FOLEY, a gifted mercenary and head of the Guide Network, a system of people willing to risk their lives to smuggle families out of America and save them from being torn apart. He provides salvation, often at his own peril. Our story begins when he meets his new client: Claire Crane herself, the American Moses. Though she meant to save children, she instead led them into the desert, with Cain as their only way out.
