1324 AD. Lord Le Poer is dead, leaving his already wealthy widow, Lady Alice Kyteler of Kilkenny even wealthier. She, along with her faithful maidservant, Petronilla De Meath, are in positions of power that dwarf that of her son, Richard De Valle, the heir of the De Valle estates of Tipperary, Bishop De Ledrede of Ossory, and many of the noblemen of Medieval Ireland.
Envy leads to suspicion, as Lord Le Poer has been the fourth husband to die in the Kyteler Manor and leave Alice even more powerful than before. There can only be one explaination; witchcraft.
There are far more dangerous things in this world than witches. And no body is a saint in this story.
