Synopsis/Details
Charlie's a clown. Literally. It's his dream to make it big as a YouTube sensation. Why? So he can bring a smile to everyone's faces. But to bring a smile to every face, he needs to start small.
When Charlie comes across Ricardo, a depressed nobody, he senses something wrong. When Ricardo's about to jump off a bridge, Charlie intervenes to save his life. He offers him a choice - be my cameraman and live. Ricardo accepts as he decides to take a chance. He decides to follow the clown and his lofty ambitions.
Meanwhile, Bobby, Charlie's pessimistic brother, is in trouble. He stole his co-worker's black belt. Another argument with a fellow co-worker leaves Bobby on a short leash. Either he gets friendlier or he gets fired. As the episode goes on, Bobby tries his best. To much failure and success.
Charlie and Ricardo explore a lively park, ready to get a viral clip. At first, no one bats an eye at Charlie as he rides his unicycle and juggles. So, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Charlie gets up close to a nearby woman, trying to make her laugh. Too bad she has a fear of clowns. Charlie's pepper sprayed.
After washing his eyes out, Charlie's back on his mission. He spots a sword-wielding, fortune-telling beauty, Vanessa. The pair get along while Ricardo's flustered with Vanessa. After much teasing, Charlie departs, having been invited to a future birthday party. Another gig for the clown.
Right as they're about to leave the park, Ricardo spots a police officer curled up on the ground, crying. Charlie sees a chance, an opportunity to rise up someone's spirits. Without thinking twice, Charlie takes out a pie. Ricardo's hesitant but Charlie's ready.
It's every 9-5 worker's favorite time of day. 5 pm. Bobby zooms out of his workplace, and gets ready to go home. On his way, he talks to a co-worker and finds out very uncomfortable. But he receives a call from the local police station. Charlie's been arrested for pieing an officer. Now, Bobby's speeding down the highway, risking everyone's life.
Bobby's pulled over for speeding. How unfortunate. Of course, it's the same officer who was pied by Charlie - Officer Fulton. Bobby finds out and attacks the officer.
Charlie and Ricardo are relaxing in a jail cell. Charlie's confident he'll get out. Ricardo's freaking out. As they talk, Charlie realizes he may have joined a cult by accident. It's revealed, too, that Charlie saved Ricardo's life because of the look he had in his eyes. Charlie saw, in Ricardo, a dead man walking. Before, Charlie ignored that same look in a loved one. They're gone now. Charlie vowed to never ignore that look again. Bobby vowed, too.
Bobby, all bruised up, is thrown into the jail cell. Charlie, worried, tries to care for Bobby's wounds. After an awkward introduction between Bobby and Ricardo, they hatch out an escape plan. Bobby and Ricardo get into a make-believe fight, getting the guards to open to cell to spilt them up.
As they open the door, Charlie uses fart spray as a distraction. The trio escape. But Officer Fulton uses a taser and hits Charlie. With Charlie on Bobby's shoulders, Ricardo goes outside to find a way out. A vehicle, anything. But he's confronted by an oncoming battle.
A villainous mafia man, Thomas DeVin, has been captured. But the mafia are on their way. And they're willing to go to war. Riot shields, and weapons everywhere. Officer Fulton's forced to give up the chase and join the fight. The trio? They're forced to crawl on the ground and hope they don't get hit by a stray bullet.
As they're crawling, a gangster picks them out. As the gangster's about to kill them, Vanessa pops out. She's a female vigilante, dressed in a ridiculous outfit. She saves them. Before any thanks could be said, she disappears into the battle. The trio hop onto a motorcycle and get away.
When they get home, they all get ready to go to sleep. Ricardo's offered another job on top of being a cameraman. He can become a cashier at a nearby 7/11, working for the brother's aunt. Also, Charlie realizes his camera's missing. The brothers will grab it another day.
Everyone heads off to sleep. Ricardo becomes friends with Bobby. Over in the police station, Officer Fulton swears to make the trio's life a living hell. He's all bandaged up. The trio's mugshots are spread on the table - Officer Fulton will get his due.
