Synopsis/Details
In 2020, a series of grisly murders plague Los Angeles. Young, eccentric Thai Homicide Detective MOI LUCK and her partner REED FLETCHER (a man known more for being a clothes horse, than crack detective) are assigned to the cases. Though evidence is left at the scenes, the bodies are mutilated in such a way that identification of the murder weapons are impossible. After a near-deadly encounter with the Killer and though investigative work, Moi discovers that an old form of medieval torture is being employed. The killer is using medieval torture devices on its victims; both men and women, with no apparent motive or connection. While critical evidence points to her own partner, Reed, as a suspect, Moi too falls under suspicion. But once her partner is murdered, Moi must pull herself together to find the real psychopath and the answer to her nightmares that have plagued her since she was a small child. And why have these nightmares returned during this investigation? Is there a connection? Her plan to catch the killer works... but at a cost. It's pitch black. As she awakens on a small boat in the middle of a river, she comes face-to-face with the killer who not only shares a shocking secret with her, but plans on making the ultimate sacrifice; attaching both of them to the Godmother's Violin, and sending them both to a watery grave. Armed only with her power of persuasion and wit, Moi must face her own demons while fighting for her life.
