Synopsis/Details
Inspector Kabir Mehra, a sharp and dedicated cop, finds his world shattered when he discovers his wife, Divya, brutally murdered in their locked apartment. The crime scene is a paradox: no forced entry, no murder weapon, and no witnesses, making Kabir, who has a flimsy alibi, the primary suspect in the eyes of his own department, led by his conflicted superior, DCP Rathod. As Kabir's life unravels, his grief is compounded by a series of inexplicable events—hallucinatory "memory bleeds" of a life he never lived, a wallet mysteriously stuffed with cash, and a membership card to an exclusive club he's never visited. These bizarre occurrences push him to the brink of insanity, forcing him to accept that the clean lines of his reality have irrevocably blurred.
Following the trail of impossible clues, Kabir discovers he is not losing his mind but is instead connected to "The Network"—a multiversal collective of Kabirs, all grieving the loss of their own Divya. Communicating through a chaotic, shared notepad app, they reveal a devastating truth: Divya was murdered by a corrupt, sociopathic version of himself from an adjacent universe, "Killer Kabir" (Frame #2). Led by a methodical Private Investigator Kabir (Frame #1), who possesses video evidence from a microscopic button camera that captured the murder, the Network devises an audacious plan. They must locate the murder weapon—a brass Nataraja statue—in one of their myriad universes and "bleed" it through the layers of reality to the Investigator, who can then present it as evidence, ensuring it materializes in Killer Kabir's world and exposes him. Our protagonist, Inspector Kabir, learns he is "Frame #3," the crucial link whose reality is directly adjacent to the killer's, making him the one who must confirm the plan's success while facing the catastrophic risk of being convicted himself.
Embracing his role and the potential for self-sacrifice, Inspector Kabir gives the go-ahead. In a desperate, coordinated effort spanning hundreds of thousands of realities, the Kabirs locate the statue and successfully relay it through a chain of observation until it appears in the Investigator's world. The Investigator delivers the statue to his DCP Rathod, setting the final trap. In the end, our Inspector Kabir is called in by his own Rathod and, in a moment of quiet, unexplained grace—a final, positive bleed-through from the Investigator’s actions—is told the case against him is dropped. He walks free, having proven his innocence and secured justice for Divya, forever bound to the secret Network of broken men who came together across universes to mend one great, shared tragedy.
