The Light At Eight

Tommy Townsend is an up & coming comedian in Los Angeles. Broke and grinding away his days as an Uber driver to pay the bills, he has dreams of becoming a successful working comedian. One night he gets asked to do a private show from some Russian gangsters, and after his set, witnesses the entire crew get murdered. The rival gang realizes he's escaped and a witness to the crime, and spend the next 24 hours pursuing him hoping to eliminate him before he can become a problem. He gets chased across the city until he finds his way to the boss of the family, who ultimately comes to his defense. In the end, Tommy gains worldwide recognition and a chance at the big time due to his harrowing circumstances and incredible story.
