Synopsis/Details
Max, a struggling magician takes stock of his life on his fortieth birthday. His business is struggling and whilst his wife Carrie runs a fairly successful coffee shop he feels that his life is one monumental failure. He cycles to work and sets up his stand on a busy street corner to entertain the crowd and to try and drum up much needed ticket sales for his forthcoming magic show. Filled with regrets and "what if's" he sets about his show. A chance encounter and an act of kindness on his part has surprising results.

The Writer: Sandy Baker

I grew up in South Africa but have lived and worked in both Australia and the UK. I wrote a TV series many years ago, when South African Television was in its infancy but would now love to write a full length movie script. I have several projects that need refining or discarding but would love to put my work out there and would welcome feedback. Over the years I have participated in many writers' workshops and forums which I have always enjoyed and have done quite a lot of in depth editing and copy writing. I know it is often said that one is either an editor or a writer. It is time to put this to the test. Go to bio
