Synopsis/Details
"The Maneuver" combines high stakes and intriguing plot twists to produce an exciting, dramatic story. The story centers on Countess Maria de Canadas, an unconfident, struggling, ex-alcoholic Socialite attempting to put her life back together following an event which made her the scourge of the elite, Long Island, New York community she resides in and placed her at odds with husband Ted. Things go from worse to horrendous when Maria is involved in a car wreck that costs several people their lives. Maria knows she is innocent, but unfortunately sustained temporary memory loss in the accident. Before she is released from the hospital, Claude DePuis, a wealthy businessman and New York Gubanatorial candidate, exploits Maria's condition and uses the ghosts from her past, makes her the prime suspect in the accident investigation and ultimately frames her. However, Maria gradually regains her memory and, in the process, recalls Phillipe, Claude's son was responsible for the accident. What Maria does not realize is that Phillipe has a big secret to hide, which if exposed threatens to forever alter his and the lives of Claude and Ted. A defiant Maria continues to prove her innocence. However, Maria's probing eventually leads to the shocking discovery that her and Phillipe's past are intertwined and leads to a dramatic conclusion which places Maria's life in jeopardy.
