Michael’s group of friends are everything to him, they welcomed him in when he was the new kid in school. They’ve been by his side like family. For that, he’ll do anything. Even agree to a lengthy post-grad road trip from New York down south. For his friends Joe, Brian, Jack, Macy, and Tessa, they’re just enjoying the new sights and experiences. Days filled with races, bars, and beers. But for Michael, theres a feeling of unease, of tension. This tension only escalates after a drunken altercation with a posse of unwelcoming locals. Warning his friends not to engage, Michael fears the worst is yet to come, and that his truth will soon rise to the surface. A truth that he fought his whole life to suppress. After being beaten and robbed, his hot headed friends don’t heed his advice, and set out for revenge against the local posse that assaulted them. What unfolds is a tale of desperation, redemption, and destruction. Backed into a corner, as he was in his youth, Michael realizes he’ll have to become what he vowed to destroy. For if he fails, the New South shall rise again…
