THE PIANO PLAYER Written by Hura Hill MYSTICAL/SERIES LOG LINE- A musician is given a magical piano by a woman from New Orleans. That piano is the reason her father’s been missing since she was 14. Jonathan Quince is able to travel back in time, playing with musical icons as he looks for the woman’s father. SYNOPSIS - Jonathan Quince is a gifted musician, but struggles to make the big time. He takes a new job at the airport to support himself and wife Earlene. Jonathan meets his coworker, ‘Mary Kim’ from New Orleans. As they talk Jonathan mentions he’s a musician. Mary Kim tells of her father, a piano player also and his piano still at her home. Mary Kim offers the piano to Jonathan, tho’ reluctant, he takes the piano. He soon discovers the mysterious chords inside of the piano. Once those chords were played the right way, Jonathan would disappear. Jonathan would appear back in time, playing for famous artist. Jonathan would play the ‘right keys’ and come back to present time. Mary Kim tells Jonathan that’s how her father disappeared years ago. Apparently her father forgot the ‘right keys’. Jonathan offers to go back and look for her father. His wife agreed at first, but had second thoughts. Jonathan would make good money, playing for Whitney, Quincy and Michael. While this was going on, Jonathan and Earlene had a new neighbor move in across the street. This neighbor had eyes for Earlene. As Jonathan traveled back in time, the neighbor, Calvin Brooks made his move. Jonathan lands in Illinois 1960, he runs into some bad people who take advantage of him. A Mr. Vern is looking for Mary Kim’s father also, he knows about the magical piano. Jonathan is bound and give heroin to control him. He becomes addicted and forgets the ‘right keys’ to get back home. Jonathan finds Mary Kim’s father, because of his drinking he forgot the ‘right keys’ also. While gone, Earlene had Jonathan’s baby, a girl. She’s also now quite friendly with the neighbor, Calvin Brooks. Jonathan is gone 25 years before he returns home. The series would span over those 25 years it takes for Jonathan to return home. The FINAL episode would be when he returns to finds hi wife Earlene married to the neighbor Calvin Brooks.
