Synopsis/Details
A 60 year old man, Winston, wakes up in a peculiar hazy room in a different dimension with a cut on his cheek and a gash across his chest. Above a spiral stairs is a white light and at his feet is a black ooze. His wife, Amanda, tells him that the ooze is his fears and that he should jump over it in order to reach her. He eventually does. Towards the end of this short tale, we find out that Winston has died on the operating table with two doctors discussing the afterlife - one who tentatively believes there is one and the other believes otherwise. Filmmakers have long taken advantage of using the imagination, taking pleasure in visualizing just what lies in the afterlife. The simple human need for meaning and reason to our conception of the afterlife beyond this mortal coil seems to win through.
