Synopsis/Details
Eden’s mother Elizabeth, passed away after battling with terminal brain cancer for 4 years. This play takes place 2 years after Elizabeth’s death. Since then, Paul has remarried to a woman named Sheila. In the eyes of Eden, Paul moved on too quickly having proposed to Sheila after 5 months of dating. Eden and Paul have, instead of coming closer together, drifted apart. They barely speak and whenever they are together there is constant tension. Sheila, now living with Eden and Paul, can no longer handle this tension and suggested Paul and Eden go on a road trip together for the weekend. They are going to Paul’s cabin sat near a lake. This, however, is 7 hours’ drive away from where they live. With no way to avoid each other and no reception to distract Eden, they are forced to talk about things.
