‘Whisky and freedom gang together’ - so said Robert Burns. Mid nineteenth-century Scotland — the height of whisky smuggling. An excisemen — determined to put a halt to their activities. But what happens if a customs officer and smuggler make a deal? The bootlegger will attempt to smuggle whisky under his nose. The exciseman will try to prevent him.
