Synopsis/Details
1941. America is reeling from the attack on Pearl Harbor. Doris lives with her head in the clouds. Movies and books are her only escape from the fact that she’s in her 30s, has always lived with her cantankerous, alcoholic mother, has never been in love or had any real adventures of her own.
That all quickly changes when a US postman she’d met years ago shows up. He’d been bitten by a wild animal while on his mail route and needs help. Doris tends to his wounds, quickly falls for him, and then loses her virginity to him, totally unaware his blood is infected with wolf monster DNA. In the morning, the postman is gone and Doris is madly in love. Doris becomes ill, and her mother rushes her to a gypsy she knows for help. Doris freaks when she learns that she is not only pregnant but may give birth to a wolf baby.
Now, they must find the postman before the next “wolf moon” and give him the gypsy’s potion so that he, Doris, and their wolf baby won’t become wolf monsters forever. They finally find the postman. He and Doris both drink the potion. It just makes matters worse! Then while rushing back to the gypsy’s house, the car dies and the postman goes for help on foot.
Doris and her mother truly bond when Doris goes into labor and struggles to give birth on the roadside. It’s a wolf baby! A human baby with cute puppy ears and a little black puppy nose. Doris is ultra-thrilled to be a mother. She bonds instantly. She's found her true purpose in life.
They all end up back at the gypsy’s house where they intensely battle the wolf monster. Doris’ mother gets severely bitten, the gypsy is killed, and Doris gets cornered by the wolf monster. It looks like a horrible end for Doris but suddenly her wolf baby jumps out of nowhere, bites the wolf monster’s neck, and chomps its artery. The wolf monster dies a horrible death!
In the end, Doris’ best-selling book The Wolf Mom gets picked up to be made into a movie. Although they never do find the right potion, they still live happily ever after by spending every wolf moon on vacation in a secluded forest, where they turn into beautiful wolves, run free, and have many big adventures.
