Synopsis/Details
John Roconn has been haunted by the accidental drowning of his best friend Sam, his whole life. When he gets the opportunity to go back in time to save Sam, it’s too tempting to resist. He goes back in time and saves Sam but while he’s in the past, he loses his mobile phone. When he returns, he finds a world that has advanced technologically too quickly for its own good. The phone was reverse engineered and this changed the world he once knew. He now has to fight for the survival of himself and the world as a whole. The spectre of artificial super intelligence looms on the horizon and it may have catastrophic consequences. John tries to stop the birth of the super AI but he fails. When it’s turned on, it escapes to the internet and releases the most deadly virus ever known. The world collapses into chaos and John has to win back his estranged wife’s heart and fight to survive in what’s left of the world.
