Doctor Blake needs to speed up his wealthy aunt’s death, but his conscience isn’t the only obstacle.

Doctors aren’t always saints… as produced writer Manolis Froudarakis’ Tooth and Nail makes clear.

Doctor Blake’s in deep with the local shylock. Interest goes unpaid and final warnings have been sent. Given the dangerous people Blake owes money to, it’s only a matter of time before he winds up as broken as the last candy in the jar.

Good thing for Doc Blake his rich Aunt made him sole heir to her fortune. Better still, the old moneybags just happens to be dying. The trouble for good ole’ Doc Blake? She’s not fading fast enough.

What’s a debt ridden doctor with an impatient loan shark on his back to do?

Make a house-call to dear old Auntie, of course.

It’s here we meet Martha, Auntie's burly caregiver whose dedication to the job knows no bounds. Martha works tirelessly, day and night, to tend her charge's every need. Martha even records sweet old Auntie's words for daily inspiration:

“Sweetheart, I’ve been one tough
cookie all my life. A survivor, a
fighter. And you bet I’ll keep
fighting - tooth and nail, like a
tigress. To the very end.”

With Martha distracted, a desperate Doc Blake slips into dear Auntie's room. In his hand: a syringe full of ‘hello inheritance juice' and a prescription to see his bank account back in black.

But our desperate Doc has sorely underestimated Martha’s devotion. Her raw selflessness and loyalty have taken their toll. And Doc Blake is about to add another poor life choice to his list.

To find out what that is, you’ll have to read Manolis Froudarakis’ darkly comic ‘Tooth and Nail.’ Six sweet pages that find one compromised Doc forced to do the unthinkable to avoid defaulting on the kind of loan that doesn't come with a payment plan. A simple set up with snappy dialogue, T&N delivers a pay-off that’s positively criminal!
