Synopsis/Details
In a world where belief, magic, and life go hand in hand, the Tooth Fairy is tasked with keeping the realms magic stable and the belief strong. One seemingly normal day, the children stopped believing—in all things supernatural. No Santa Claus. No Easter Bunny. It was all just… gone. (Think Thanos infinity gauntlet snap) In the wake of the disaster, the remaining fairies dubbed the catastrophic event “The Era of Disbelief”, and one fairy in particular, who lost everything—Celeste Teale-Fulbright, vowed she would never let it happen again. So when Faye, Truth’s daughter, has doubts about her future, this makes Celeste uneasy and Truth disappointed. Feeling the pressure of life, Faye moves out of her parent’s house to a neighboring realm, a realm she thought she created in her mind as a kid.
The Tooth Fairy collects fallen teeth which are transported to the Fairy Realm, but when an infection plagues the Human Realm, the Fairy Realm Council threatens to stop the collection of fallen teeth until the infection poses no threat to the Fairykind. Stopping collection puts the realm at risk of another Era of Disbelief. Truth convinces the Council to grant her the magic needed to create a new realm—Toothville—a sort of safe haven that gives fallen teeth a place to be purified of any infection in a painful process called "The Purification Process". So long as every fallen tooth gets processed, the magic remains stable. So when a new fallen tooth--Snaggle--arrives in toothville infected and doesn't get processed, this causes the magic in the Fairy Realm to unravel. Faye, still trying to find her way, had the idea of creating a machine that could send teeth back to the mouth (think like a new tooth growing in) called the Re-Eruption Machine (or Trial). this machine purifies the teeth in a more humane way, extracts the minerals needed to keep the magic stable and sends the teeth back home (to the mouth they fell from). But Faye doesn't want to be the Tooth Fairy. Seeing this decision as a potential threat, Celeste fights to not only prove that Truth was never a worthy pick, but that Faye's
selfish decision may have cost the realm.
**In Toothville, where the wires are made of floss, streets like gumlines and buildings sparkle like clean teeth, fallen teeth or "The Fallen", are among the high class. False teeth are looked at as outcasts. PEARL E. WHITE, is an impacted tooth, she was pulled out due to not erupting correctly and thus is the purest mineral in the realm. Celeste discovers this and with the manipulation of CHIP, a false tooth just looking to be accepted, kidnaps Pearl to try and get Snaggle to go through the processing.
Ellie is Faye's bestfriend and voice of reason.
Which a lot of fairies vanished.Truth Fulbright, daughter of the most respected Tooth Fairy ever, has had to live with shadow of her mother’s legacy. This shifted Truth’s disposition so when she had a kid of her own, she wanted nothing more than for her daughter to follow in her footsteps and keep the legacy alive. The Tooth Fairy title comes with a lot of responsibility, those of which made Faye feel neglected by her mother. Because of this, Faye had doubts about wanting to become a tooth fairy herself—wanting to leave her own legacy, her own way.
