Synopsis/Details
In a sleepy town far from prying eyes, Jane, a gas station clerk hiding from her abusive past, is about to finish her shift. Her only company tonight is her checked out co-worker Carl. Until the last customer of the night, a gaunt Seth, offers an urgent warning: Jane is in grave danger.
That's when the lights go out. And Carl screams from the dark.
Seth seizes Jane’s arm, pulling her to safety as she struggles to understand what is happening. Once outside, Seth reveals the terrifying truth: six months ago, his own life was spared by the mysterious creature he calls The Traveler. In exchange, Seth became its reluctant servant, condemned to guide it to new victims as it feeds on human souls to satisfy a cursed hunger.
But Seth is done running. He has seen enough horror to know The Traveler has only two vulnerabilities—intense sound and freezing cold. Together, Seth and Jane plunge into the night, dodging the relentless creature that knows no mercy. Their only hope lies in a nearby butcher shop, where Jane and Seth prepare for a final showdown. Amid buzzing saws and the freezer’s biting chill, they stage a desperate trap, hoping to end The Traveler’s reign.
As they confront the beast, a horrifying truth emerges: The Traveler is no mindless killer. He’s cursed. And the curse can only be lifted through a willing sacrifice, an act of compassion from one human to end the creature’s torment. In a moment of grim resolution, Jane chooses to end the cycle, stepping forward to break the curse and free Seth from The Traveler.
But as she gives herself over, Jane feels a dark, insatiable hunger awaken within her. The curse hasn’t been lifted—it’s only been passed on. Now, Jane is The Traveler, her spirit bound to the creature’s endless nightmare. Seth, guilt-ridden but loyal, vows to stay by her side, using their new power to hunt down those who prey on the innocent, like the ones who once hurt them.
Yet, as the monstrous hunger grows, a chilling question lingers: can Jane control the darkness within, or will she become the very evil she once feared?
