Synopsis/Details
A small, diverse group of people come together to form a tech company, whose goal is to bring to life the brainchild of its young, LatinX Founder. The near omniscient data collection of the product they develop quickly draws the attention of deep-pocketed advertising companies, willing to pay billions to exploit the rich consumer data. To compound the tension, the team’s questionable decision to make the product in the shape of a gun, pits them against a strident police force, emboldened to increasingly violent suppression of the burgeoning Black Lives Matter movement. Thousands of social activists across the country begin using the guns to document violent police behavior, ironically by pointing the guns directly at the police. Just when the runaway success of the product seems unstoppable, they learn that their own venture capital handlers have secretly orchestrated a massive short squeeze of the company, so the underdog company plots to give the greedy investors a taste of their own medicine.
