Synopsis/Details
Carrie and Bradley never had an ideal upbringing, due in large part to their Father who didn't live life so much as endure it. A quiet, unaffectionate man who struggled to connect to his children or create many meaningful memories with them. Now, approaching middle age, they are forced together after years of separation to deal with their father's impending death.
Bradley is presented with Do Not Ressusciate paperwork that has to be signed. Before he does, he decides to run the idea past Carrie. As they discuss the ramifications of their actions, they share a number of memories about their parents and the grim reality of how it affected their lives. This prompts a number of uncomfortable conversations and forces them to examine their own relationship.
Waiting for Dad to Die is a biting, funny and human story about family and things we struggle to say to the ones we love.
