Synopsis/Details
In an attempt to escape the disillusionment of a bad marriage and the tedium of his life in general, successful stock broker Andrew Jennings becomes addicted to watching the lives of strangers. Andrew's most recent subject is a young couple who quickly become an obsession with Andrew, causing him to take his curiosity a step too far. Watching them on a regular basis and secretly following them, causes Andrew to compare his life to theirs and draws the conclusion that they represent the sort of life that he longs for. However, Andrew soon discovers that the young couple’s life behind closed doors isn't what he thought it was, forcing him to reevaluate their life that he has been vicariously living. The disillusionment is almost as devastating to him as the fact that his own marriage is somewhat of a sham. When tragedy strikes the young couple, Andrew is forced to confront his culpability with the disaster as well as the persistence of the demons from his past, and the instability of his marriage. Now, Andrew must grapple with a new self-awareness and come to terms with how it will affect the rest of his life.
